Naast mijn galerie, mijn huis en de beeldentuin in Amsterdam, heb ik een tweede atelier dat volledig is gewijd aan experimenteren. Dit gebouw van 300 vierkante meter, ooit een ketelhuis, is nu mijn privéatelier. De hoge plafonds en het prachtige natuurlijke licht maken het een ideale werkplek. Gelegen op slechts 30 minuten van Amsterdam, biedt het me de privacy om alleen en geconcentreerd te werken.
Dit atelier is waar ik mezelf uitdaag en imperfecties omarm. Ik schilder met acryl en olieverf op zeer grote doeken en creëer krachtige, expressieve werken. Ik werk met steen, waarbij ik solide materiaal vormgeef tot blijvende sculpturen. Ook schets ik ideeën voor glazen objecten, waarin ik nadenk over hoe licht en transparantie deze vormen zullen beïnvloeden.
Ik experimenteer met klei om vorm en textuur te verkennen. Met fotografie leg ik momenten vast die betekenis hebben. In deze ruimte verleg ik grenzen, neem ik risico's en verfijn ik mijn technieken. Het is een functionele, steeds veranderende omgeving die mijn kunst en werkwijze weerspiegelt.
