"Traveler" van Micky Hoogendijk is een aangrijpende verkenning van de oneindige mogelijkheden en grenzeloze vrijheid die het leven biedt, geïnspireerd door de woorden van haar moeder Gine: "De wereld ligt aan je voeten." Deze foto, gemaakt in 2015, toont een bruid die Hoogendijk's oude trouwjurk en een witte muts draagt, en door een wolkachtige massa glas kijkt. De gestolde vorm symboliseert een organische druppel water, die constant in beweging is en verandert, en vertegenwoordigt de 'kleine bal' van inspiratie waar Hoogendijk vaak naar verwijst—een ruimte naast haar hoofd waar haar creatieve ideeën en fantasieën verblijven

In "Traveler" vangt Hoogendijk de essentie van het beginnen aan een innerlijke reis, navigerend door haar eigen fantasiewereld. Dit werk weerspiegelt de overtuiging van de kunstenaar dat men kan reizen zonder fysiek te bewegen, en symboliseert de reizen die binnen iemands geest worden ondernomen en de grenzeloze grenzen van de verbeelding. De foto benadrukt de dualiteit van kracht en kwetsbaarheid, en toont de delicate balans van het omarmen van je dromen terwijl je de werkelijkheid onder ogen ziet. Door de 'kleine bal' af te beelden—een metafoor voor haar verbeelding en onderbewustzijn—nodigt Hoogendijk kijkers uit om hun eigen innerlijke werelden te verkennen, en benadrukt ze de transformerende kracht van creativiteit en de vrijheid die het brengt.
